ART MOSCOW, the International Art Fair, is the largest fair for contemporary art in Eastern Europe. It was founded in 1995 and today is one of the major art events in Russia.
Over the fifteen years of its existence ART MOSCOW has proved itself to be the most effecient market ground of contemporary art on the Russia’s art scene that affords maximum opportunity for implementing cultural and commercial ideas. The success of ART MOSCOW arises from its professional adequacy to the present moment of development of contemporary culture in Russia.
As a regular annual event ART MOSCOW becomes fundamental to the Russian contemporary art infrastructure, depicts Russia at the international art market and observes the conditions of world-leading contemporary art fairs - only galleries and art-dealers regularly staging public exhibitions in their own exhibition spaces are admitted as exhibitors; the International Expert Council is authorized to specify the strategy and policy of the Fair and select the galleries participating; the Fair organizes various arrangements around the main event such special exhibitions, non-format art fairs, presentations, discussions, vip and collectors program.
