The Central House of Artists is located on the banks of the Moskva River directly opposite the Kremlin. It is appreciated for its easy accessibility by public and private transportation, its historic image of an open cultural center, and its large number of visitors. The Central House of Artists has hosted such great exhibition projects as the Tony Cragg exhibition (2005), the Moscow Open International Book Festival (2006, 2007), the Oleg Kulik exhibition (2007), the Moscow Biennale of Architecture (2008) and others. The modern art department of the State Tretyakov Gallery is situated in the same building.
