12.09.2013 ART MOSCOW 2013 TALK PROGRAM
The Moscow Times. 19.09.2012
All eyes are on the international art fair Art Moscow, which started Wednesday as part of Moscow Arts Week. Now in its 16th year, Art Moscow runs through Monday and is widely considered to be the most important event in Russian contemporary art.
The fair, consisting of exhibitions and discussions with industry leaders, is open to the public and its organizers this year seem keener than ever that the events focus on the ordinary visitor.
Leafing through the Russian press in the last week, it’s quite clear that no one is expecting an economic windfall from Art Moscow. … But no one is sitting with their arms crossed. This year, the organizers of Art Moscow have created a new and wonderful feature – a comprehensive public discussion series, headlined by prominent figures. The program is a more focused approach in which to foster the exchange of ideas among artists, collectors, gallery owners and curators, and is open to the public at large. At the center of attention will be the Russian art scene.
FAZ: A new generation is taking over finding ideas, they are not influenced by the dark times of the Sovietunion. They can work free and careless.
Monopol: Painting is still the most asked for.
Tagesspeigel: An exciting single show presents Triumph Gallery, Moscow with Digital Collages from AES+F (40.000 EUR)
Artnet: Russia's first photogallery is glad that they sold on the preview already 15 poetic black - white still lives in old wooden frames from Jefferson Hayman (1.500 - 3000 USD, ed 10) to local collectors.
